If you're just starting out playing the game and you want to save up candles to unlock other heroes like the Hellion or Occultist, this is a great reason to try it out. The benefits of picking Wanderer is that you'll receive extra candles for reaching the second Inn during your run. There isn't much to note about this path, as it's the default setting and doesn't add any interesting modifiers or challenges into the mix. Wanderer is a hero path that's available for all heroes right from the start. Some are best suited to newer players, and others can fit into more complex builds. You'll be able to play as Paracelsus immediately during the Prologue and right from the start, you'll have the Wanderer path available to play as. Paracelsus specializes in Blight attacks, Blind tokens, and heals, but you can change her focus by picking a strong hero path when building your team. It's possible to have PD in other places during a battle, but it's not ideal as many of her moves will not work properly out of position. She's a back rank hero, which means that she works best when she's placed towards the back of the party. She's incredibly interested in looking at the mutated plants and fauna in the game, and isn't afraid of getting her hands bloody. The Plague Doctor, also known as Paracelsus and PD, is a scientist who's a little too dedicated to her craft. If you're a fan of a tragic backstory, you're sure to be fond of this character.
